Epitaphs

Hark from the tombe a delightful sound

My ears attend the cry

Ye living men come view the grave

Where you must surely lie

Adien to all my friends below

Tis heaven commands I must go

(Abraham Miller (D-20-3) died 2/25/1832 at age 27)

He is no more in time but departed with hope which animates the bosom of all God's people commanding

to all to watch and pray lest they fall a victim to death's cold embrace in an hour they know not.

Fare thee well surviving friends

Fare thee well Father and Mother

Fare thee well Brother and Sister

For I must go where you must follow

(William N. McEIwee (D-20-4) died 12/20/1840 at age 25)

I die unto all both far and near

My loving wife and children dear

For my immortal soul is fled

I must lie numbered with the dead

(Abraham Miller (D-20-1) died 2/18/1827 at age 67)

"We know that if the earthyly house of our tabernacle be dissolved,

we have a building from God, a house not made with hands eternal

in the heavens" II Corinthians 5:1
